For the past several weeks Life Shop and CITE 1 students have been very busy planning and preparing their summer community service project, #HarmonsUnstuck. This week all their hard work officially went public as they promoted their #HarmonsUnstuck dance challenge and Go Fund Me crowd funding webpage at www.gofundme.com/HarmonsUnstuck. It’s only been a little more than 24 hours and they are already halfway to their goal of $1000!!
The momentum for the #HarmonsUnstuck campaign began when CITE 1 student Larry Harmon and his family entered a challenge to receive a wheelchair accessible van. The students of CITE 1 and the Warriors of the Life Shop wanted to also help their friend Larry raise money towards a van and awareness about their family and their mobility challenges. Both groups came together and created a dance challenge to use to promote the #HarmonsUnstuck campaign. CITE 1 student, Ben came up with the campaign tagline #HarmonsUnstuck. To find out more about Larry and his family please watch our video posted on www.gofundme.com/HarmonsUnstuck. You can also see all of our dance challenge videos posted by visiting our webpage.
