For the second year in a row, The Life Shop and Oak Park River Forest Highschool CITE 1 classroom joined forces to cook and serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to the Veterans of Hines VA Hospital. Last year the Life Shop only cooked food for the Veterans, but this year they had a chance to both cook and serve the food with the CITE 1 students! It was an amazing experience for all and a wonderful way to spend their Thanksgiving! The Veterans and hospital staff were so welcoming and really enjoyed the meal. The Life Shop was happy to be part of this experience with CITE 1 and look forward to future Thanksgivings!
