Monday Programs

NUTRITION 

Warriors will explore various foods necessary for health and growth. We will learn about proportion, moderation, and variety of the foods that we eat!

WARRIOR CODE/THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR 

Warriors participating in the Warrior Code program will define what it means to follow “The Way of the Warrior” and will be involved in activities that correspond with each of the 6 parts of the code.

GARDENING 

Warriors will stick up their green thumbs and get their hands in the dirt! Starting with seeds Warrior gardeners will grow, care, and maintain the Opp Knocks garden.

EVERYBODY DANCE NOW! 

In this program we are going to get our fitness for the day in while having a ton of fun. There are many different dance traditions we would like to learn about and build some skill in. We will connect with our minds and bodies all the while have fun boogie-ing the time away in this dance program.

Wednesday Programs

COMM OPPS 

Warriors in the Comm Opps program will continue working on a project that will be auctioned off at this year’s gala. Additionally, we will continue supporting and working our local non-profits that we have been working.

BOCCE BALL 

Bocce is becoming a popular game for our generation. This sessione we will be heading over to the River Forest Bocce Ball courts where we will spend time learning the rules, getting a lot of practice, and having a lot of fun while playing Bocce Ball.

WARRIORS GOT BACK 

You can do side bends and sit ups but don’t forget that butt!! This fitness class will be all about exercising and toning our booties.

THIS IS ME 2 

Warriors will interact and share their experiences of growing up with a disability or struggle and what it is like trying to equally fit in. With each other’s supports, these Warriors will build self esteem and comfort in their own differences.

Friday Programs

PEER LED PLANNING

Peer Led Planning will give the Warriors the opportunity to take the wheel and come up with a program that will be led the following Fall 2 session. Peer planning helps Warriors take leadership and initiative and if that’s something you’re interested in come check this group out.

FAST FOOD MAKEOVER 

This session our cooking group will explore our different fast foods by breaking them down and turning them into fresher meals! We will cut down on fat and sodium but they will be just as, if not more, delicious than the originals.

NATURE CRAFTS 

In this program, Warriors will use nature to inspire art! Warriors will collect their materials in the great outdoors and use them to create art, crafts, sculptures, and collages.

SOCCER 

GOOOOOOOOOAL!!! Warriors in the soccer program will learn the skills in order to be successful on the soccer pitch. Warriors will also compete for the OK World Cup (Warriors need to wear shoes in order to participate).
