Among the deep pool of eclectic and incredible people who volunteer their time and talents within OK programs, we honor a duo whose devotion to the mission over the years has been truly special. Kathleen McShane and Sue Thies are the 2019 Volunteers of the Year!
Kathleen and Sue have been serving on Wednesdays in After Opps for about 5 years and have been rooted to OK since our early days.
“They understand our mission and have a genuine connection with the Warriors,” said Volunteer Coordinator Sam Kehoe. “Their consistency and commitment is amazing.”
This passion-powered pair has assisted with a wide variety of OK programs and have been especially engaged with Community Opps, supporting the Warriors work with other local causes such as Hephzibah, New Moms, Sarah’s Inn, Ronald McDonald House, and more.
“They are my inspiration and my role models and my best friends,” said OK Volunteer Jarvis Hart. “I am so proud of them.”
Congratulations Kathleen and Sue!
